Join Kristin Anderson in a clinic designed for equestrians of all levels who want to deepen partnership with horses and their confidence and communication to the next level!

Kristin will focus on fundamental skills to help boost your confidence, learn how to handle obstacles and new stimuli, and key concepts to building awareness and discovering connection. The clinic will also cover several topics throughout the weekend, working towards finding a strong connection with you and horses, including relaxation, softness, body control, clarity of cues, positive reinforcement training, and more!

She has been completely devoted to horses since she began riding at summer camp at the age of eight. Her early training and love for horses is how she acquired her excellent hard work and ethic.

Kristin graduated SUNY Cobleskill in 2011, with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Management and an Associate’s Degree in Equine Science. During her time there, she competed on the Intercollegiate Hunter/Jumper Equestrian Team.

Since college, Kristin has pursued her passion for teaching all ages and levels. Whether it is at a show or during a lesson, Kristin encourages her students to always bring their best to every ride! She shares her passion with her students through her positive teaching methods, and friendly, supportive approach.

Kristin is always looking to broaden her equine education. In 2018 she completed her Equine Massage/Muscle Therapy Certification. She is passionate about helping horses’ function at their best, whether as comfortable backyard companions or as upper-level competition partners.

More recently, Kristin has been incorporating liberty and in-hand work into her training programs to improve biomechanics, balance, and postural development in the horse. By focusing on body alignment, symmetry, weight distribution, and quality of movement, she uses intentional body language, and spatial awareness to influence the horse’s way of going. Working both at liberty and in hand allows her to assess and develop correct movement patterns, encourage engagement and self-carriage, and support soundness. This approach keeps communication clear and open, fostering a thoughtful, connected partnership built on trust, understanding, and mindful movement between horse and trainer.

Kristin is certified through the American Riding Instructor Association (ARIA) and Massachusetts Licensed Riding Instructor.

Note… this is not a riding weekend. We will be working side by side with horses and their energies. We provide the horses.
